Decision-making over whether to take children away from school and family to a new life overseas is a topic guaranteed to create soul searching by any parent.  And it’s not a decision to be taken lightly, but research by HSBC suggests that moving abroad can bring many benefits for children.

In their latest annual Expat Explorer Survey they found that almost half (43%) of expat children are seen to have more confidence and a wider skill set after relocating in a new country.

The UAE, Qatar, Singapore, Bahrain, and Malaysia were named for the cultural learning experienced by expat children and India, the Philippines and South Africa were given as top locations for children to make friends.
